WMO: an ontology for the semantic enrichment of wetland monitoring data
نویسندگان
چکیده
Rich observation data generated by ubiquitous sensors are vital for wetland monitoring, spanning from the prediction of natural disasters to emergency response. Such use different acquisition and description methods and, if combined, could provide a comprehensive wetland. Unfortunately, these remain hidden in isolated silos, their variety makes integration interoperability significant challenge. In this work, we develop semantic model monitoring using an agile modular approach, namely, ontology (WMO), which contains five modules: ecosystem, indicator, context, geospatial temporal context. The proposed supports multiple sources, domains, modes, spatiotemporal scales. We also two real-world cases validate WMO demonstrate WMO’s usability reusability.

Semantic enrichment for ontology mapping
System interoperability is an important issue, widely recognized in information technology intensive organizations and in the research community of information systems. The wide adoption of the World Wide Web to access and distribute information further stress the need for system interoperability. Initiatives like the SemanticWeb strive to allow software agents to locate and integrate data in a...
متن کاملSemantic Content Enrichment of Sensor Network Data for Environmental Monitoring
The Semantic Sensor Web (SSW) will eventually revolutionize how we perceive and query information about the physical world. Currently, there is an ongoing effort to develop a searchable web of things that sense and control the world. As this new internet of things expands, there will be an explosion of available raw data that may not always be reachable by users. Bridging this gap between what ...
متن کاملSemantic Enrichment of Ontology Mappings
Schema and ontology matching play an important part in the field of data integration and semantic web. Given two heterogeneous data sources, meta data matching usually constitutes the first step in the data integration workflow, which refers to the analysis and comparison of two input resources like schemas or ontologies. The result is a list of correspondences between the two schemas or ontolo...
متن کاملTowards Linked Data and ontology development for the semantic enrichment of volunteered geo-information
The increasing volume of Volunteered Geo-information (VGI) often remains hidden and unconnected to other sources of information, and therefore hampering its reuse. A better understanding of the semantics behind VGI and its resources can relieve this issue, facilitated by the use of lightweight Semantic Web tools for the visualization, exploration and querying of Linked Data. The support of the ...

the central purpose of this study was to conduct a case study about the role of self monitoring in teacher’s use of motivational strategies. furthermore it focused on how these strategies affected students’ motivational behavior. although many studies have been done to investigate teachers’ motivational strategies use (cheng & d?rnyei, 2007; d?rnyei & csizer, 1998; green, 2001, guilloteaux & d?...
